Excellent Weekend

kikikimiThis weekend started early....or late if you count all the time we spent trying to drive out of Charleston. An accident at 4am Friday actually delayed us at 4:30 pm.
Right before dusk Friday, I saw something really damn cool.
A lightning bolt struck the break-down lane less than 100ft in front of the car! Jon slept through the loudest part of it, only hearing the echo and noise from the debris falling on the car.
It didn't seem as bright as it could've been, because there was still plenty of ambient light around. It was still very odd. There were several tall trees and signposts within yards of the strike, but it hit the lower point.
About 5am Saturday, we made it up to Philadelphia. We stayed with Kelly, had nifty food that couldn't be beat, and met the Magnificat and many interesting people at Kelly's party.
In the short weekend, we managed to fit in Jamba Juice (the first one in over a year), cheesesteaks, chai, and good visits with Jon's friends Elmo and Josh.
As you can see, a good time was had by all:)
