Sep. 21st, 2003 10:06 pmIt's good to accomplish things on the weekend. We found out that my sewing machine still works after being sent through the mail (though the screw-in part that holds the needle slid off).
I made some curtains out of some fantastic fabric I found at Bharat Bazaar (that place really rocks). I found a great curtain rod with finials at Big Lots today. So, now we have sari-fabric curtains! They still smell like cardamom. It goes great with the neighborhood that already smells like an Indian restaurant. :) (trying to give the bedroom a bit of an Asian theme. There's a rice paper lantern in there already. Yay Ikea! The fan from Thailand and my Kanji art go up next.)
I repaired a couple of pairs of jeans, as well. And I think I'll do some cleaning before I end the evening.
( It's simple, but I'm proud of it )
